IPG Photonics

IPG Photonics is the leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance fiber lasers and amplifiers for diverse applications in numerous markets.

IPG have recently upgraded their membership at the MTC to become a tier one member, representing an investment of £1m over five years. IPG will partner with the MTC to accelerate the industrialization of laser based manufacturing processes. The use of lasers in manufacturing can enhance product performance through redesign and improve manufacturing efficiency through increased speed and reduced energy consumption.

IPG have also invested in Ansty Park, with plans to build their new UK base at the Coventry site, which is already home to the MTC. This represents an investment of approximately£15m. The facility is expected to open in 2020.
